Charles P. “Phil” Cooper, 76, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 in Harlingen, Texas. He was born November 7, 1946 in Alameda, California.
Phil worked in manufacturing in the United States and Mexico. He also worked in healthcare engineering and was employed as Chief Engineer at Memorial Hospital in Logansport, Indiana and later at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling, golf, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved serving others and was a loving servant of the Lord.
Phil is survived by his daughter, Danielle Webb (Joel); grandsons, Marshall Webb (Mercedes), Nathan Webb, and Jordan Cooper; great-granddaughter, Arcadia Webb; brothers-in-law, Bill Ellington (Judy), Dan Ellington (Bev); sister, Marilyn Rice (Carrol); niece, Michelle Pearson (Jason); nephews, Cole Pearson, Tanner Pearson, Chris Ellington (Rachel), Scott Ellington (Nikki), and Adam Ellington (Kristi); numerous great-nephews and great-nieces; friends, Jerry McKee (Karen), Kaitlyn McKee, Jim and Dee Workman, Scott Workman (Shannon), and Susan Workman (Gilles).
A celebration of Phil’s life will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Harlingen, Texas. A reception will follow.
