Analisa Michelle Guerra, age 34, of San Benito, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1990, in Harlingen, Texas, to Guadalupe F. and Adriana Z. Guerra.
A graduate of San Benito High School in 2009, Analisa was an active participant in the Special Olympics. Throughout her life, she embraced her Catholic faith, attending Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she volunteered as an altar server and CCE Teacher Assistant. She also contributed her time at the yearly festival, helping at the funnel cake stand.
Analisa had a passion for music, particularly enjoying the works of Cody Johnson, Carrie Underwood, and Jason Aldean. She found joy in arts and crafts, as well as frequent visits to Dollar Tree, Chick-fil-A, and 99-cent stores. Her love for movies was evident in her favorites, including *Home Alone* (parts 1, 2 & 3), *Matilda*, *Toy Story* (1, 2 & 3), and *Up*.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Benita Galvan Guerra; great grandparents Francisco and Teresa A. Galvan, Manuel and Rita Martinez, Guadalupe Guerra Sr., and Aurora Guerra; and her aunt, Rosa M. Uvalle.
Analisa is survived by her parents, Guadalupe F. and Adriana Guerra; her siblings, Francisco Guerra, Daniel Guerra, and Larissa Guerra; her grandmother Natalia M. Zapata; her grandfather Guadalupe Guerra Jr.; numerous aunts and uncles including Adam Zapata (Linda), Tomas Guerra (Jessica), Jorge Guerra (Ana), and Luanna Guerra Sanchez (Antonio); her cousins Adam III, Guadalupe and Manuel Zapata, Lillian and Lauren, Antonio and David Guerra, Teresa, and Joaquin Sanchez; as well as her special friends, Victoria Gonzales, Norma Galvan, and Emma Galvan and her beloved pets, Jax and Oddie.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Juan Briones, PA, Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Med Team Inc, and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.
The Guerra family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 o’clock on Thursday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Analisa will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Pedro A. Galvan, Carlos Galvan, Adam Zapata III, Guadalupe Zapata, Manuel Zapata, Manuel Gomez, and Francisco Guerra. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Guerra.
