Ann M. Williams

March 13, 1936 — September 9, 2021

Ann Miller Williams, 85, passed peacefully from this world and entered into eternal glory on September 9, 2021 at the Victoria Comfort House in Harlingen, Texas.

She was born March 13, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Dewy Lee and Mary Ann Miller.  She met the love of her life, Jimmy E. Williams, through a mutual friend and they later married September 9, 1958. They were married for almost 50 years before Jimmy passed away.  After retirement, they moved to Hideaway and the Lindale area in 1991 until 2017 when Ann moved to Harlingen, Texas with her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kristi and Weldon Matlock.

Over that time, Ann made many new friends and bonus grandkids and was called “Grandma” to them all.  She never knew a stranger.  She enjoyed doing puzzles, coloring, watching Lifetime, and enjoying life.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy E. Williams; great-grandson, Nathaniel Eugene Williams; parents, Dewy Lee and Mary Ann Miller; and sister-in-law, Helen Miller.

Ann is survived by her children, Laurie Ann (Danny) Negley and Barry Williams; brothers, Milton Miller and Gary (Mary Ann) Miller; sister, Reba Partain; grandchildren, Kristi Ann (Weldon) Matlock; Randy (Jessica) Williams, and Cody (Alyssa) Williams; great-grandchildren; John David (Kayla) Matlock, Kaylie Ann Matlock, Kyler Williams, and Barin Williams; bonus grandchildren, Kathryn Lafferty Whitescarver, Hunter Warner, Roddy Ramon, Nick Caballero, and Tanner Curry.

Ann’s family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice and the caregivers at Victor Comfort House for keeping her comfortable in her final days.  Also, to Lupita Cortez for her guidance and love for Grandma.

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Cumby Cemetery where Ann will be laid to rest with her husband.
