Antonia (Gaona) Cisneros

January 16, 1949 — May 31, 2022

Antonia G. Cisneros, 73, peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. She was born to the late Jesus and Hermelinda Gaona on January 16, 1949 in Mexico.

Antonia received an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology and was employed as an X-Ray Technologist for over thirty years until her retirement.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed dining out, shopping, watching movies, listening to oldies music, and spending time with her family and friends. Antonia was a devout Catholic and committed much time to prayer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Esequiel Cisneros, Jr.; parents, Jesus and Hermelinda Gaona; nephew, Roman Limas, and brother-in-law, Jesse Perez.

Left to treasure her memory are Antonia’s children, Orlando (Bettina) Cisneros, Jovanna (JD) De La Rosa, and Celina (Luis) Barrera; grandchildren, Lando and Alana Cisneros, Janay, Jocely, and Jalyn De La Rosa, Luis Jr., Aiden, and Matthew Barrera; brother, Juan (Cyndi) Gaona; sisters-in-law, Yolanda Perez, Minerva (Doug) Johnson, Rebecca (Rey) Jaramillo; brother-in-law, Noe Cisneros; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Antonia’s family wishes to thank Dr. Luis Reynoso MD, Dr. Ralph Alhalel MD, the nurses and staff of Mount Sinai Hospice, Sara Aguilera, RN, and Antonia’s caregivers -  Rosie, Liz, Mona, Mari, Amanda at Treasure Hills Residential Care Home.

The Cisneros family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, June 3, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home followed by the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 o’clock at St. Benedict Catholic Church.  Following the Mass, Antonia will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Orlando Cisneros, Luis Barrera, Luis Barrera Jr., JD De La Rosa, Gabriel Gaona, and Juan Gaona. Honorary pallbearers are Lando Cisneros, Aiden Barrera, and Matthew Barrera.
