Arturo "Art" Bujanos

Arturo “Art” Bujanos, 65, of San Benito, Texas, embarked on his final adventure on June 29, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, joy, laughter, kindness, and above all, a profound love for his family and friends.

Born on February 2, 1961, in San Benito, Texas, Art lived a vibrant life filled with adventure and deep devotion to those he loved. His warm spirit and charismatic personality touched countless lives, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Art’s sense of adventure led him across the world—from bear hunting in Canada to fishing in Puerto Vallarta, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and the Florida Keys. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan through every season, he was an avid hunter and skilled angler who cherished every moment spent outdoors with his brothers, nephews, and friends. He loved spontaneous road trips through the Texas Hill Country, playing Conquian with his dad and brothers, and staying informed through his daily newspaper reading. Art embraced the digital world with the same enthusiasm and took great pride in maintaining a beautiful, well-kept landscape around his home. Always impeccably dressed with his hair in place, Art was the life of the party—brightening every room with his smile and energy.

He lived life to the fullest, seizing every opportunity and adventure that came his way. A man of strong faith, Art found true passion in his work, dedicating 47 years to perfecting his craft. As the saying goes, if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life—Art truly never worked a day.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Bujanos.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Rose Muñoz; sons, Artie Bujanos (Veronica), Andrew Bujanos, and Michael Garcia; parents, Dionicio and Sara Bujanos; and siblings: Gloria Garza (Dolfy), George Bujanos (Maria), Rosalinda Juarez (Phil), David Bujanos (Liz), Jr. (Norma), Johnny Bujanos, and Ruben Bujanos. He also leaves behind many cherished nephews, nieces, and friends whose lives he enriched.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, 1400 West Business 77, San Benito, Texas. Join the family in celebrating Art’s vibrant life and the many wonderful memories he created.
