Bert E. Jarvis, born to Jess and Maudie Jarvis, on February 17, 1939, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed from this life to his heavenly home on December 16, 2025.

Bert spent two years in the early 1960s proudly serving his country in the U. S. Army. He held many different jobs throughout his life from barbering while living in California, roofing and construction during his time in Waco, to spending many years at Carey Sheet Metal as a fabricator, retiring from what was to be his favorite job. Bert was a talented individual who liked to work with his hands building birdhouses to furniture. He transformed his property with his knack for growing plants and landscaping.

He and his wife, LaVerne, loved to travel the country. He served faithfully at First Assembly of God in Harlingen, was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, treasured his family, and above all, loved the Lord with his whole heart.

Bert was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Jarvis. He treasured his children, Lisa Parrish and Rob Jarvis; his grandchildren, Montana Parrish, Tianna Jarvis Duggar, Rob Jarvis, and Keaton Jarvis, who will miss him dearly. He was loved wholeheartedly by his stepchildren, Kathy Williams and Angela Araiza Salinas, as well as their children and his sister-in-law, Leoda, who he loved like a true sister.

Bert was known for his big heart and will be greatly missed.

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion.” Psalm 73:26
