Candido D. Ochoa, 69, passed from this life on January 7, 2023. He was born February 2, 1953 to the late Francisco Ochoa and Maria Del Refugio Diaz Treviño in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
He was a longtime insurance agent, preneed funeral agent, and funeral home employee. In his leisure time, he enjoyed soccer, the outdoors, listening to music, and barbecuing. Candido’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to treasure Candido’s memory is his loving wife, Hilda Ochoa; his children, Candido Ochoa II (Virginia), Gilberto Ochoa, Adrian Ochoa, and Lesley Ann Ochoa; and his granddaughters, Olivia Monserrat Ochoa and Angelina Grace Ochoa.
The Ochoa family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will continue Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will then begin at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Ashland Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Candido Ochoa II, Gilberto Ochoa, Adrian Ochoa, José Selvera, Marco Selvera, Rolando Selvera.
