Chrissy Dell Luster Daniels, 63, passed away peacefully September 13, 2023 in Harlingen, Texas. She was born to the late Thomas Evan and Virginia Wooten Luster on October 16, 1959 in Raymondville, Texas.
Chrissy was employed as an Assistant Principal for Harlingen C.I.S.D, as a teacher for Los Fresnos C.I.S.D and worked part-time for the Los Fresnos Emergency Services.
In her leisure time, Chrissy enjoyed traveling, shopping, sewing, quilting, Disney World, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Virginia Luster; siblings, Nevella Mangrum and John Luster; and a nephew Carl “Scooter” Winston Macomb III.
Left to treasure Chrissy’s memory is her husband of 43 years, Gene Daniels; her daughters, Shara Gonzales (Andrew) and Amanda Huebner (David); her grandchildren, Emma Gonzales, Kenneth Huebner, Luke Huebner, Logan Gonzales, and Matthew Huebner; her siblings, Sherry Macomb (Carl), Tom Luster (Sharon) and Fred Luster (Yolanda).
The family would like to thank all those who supported our family with their prayers, love, food, and assistance throughout this journey. A special thank you to Gelene Johnson for her continued love and compassion. The family also thanks Sharla Sosa (Niece) for her continued support and care. The abundance of love is so great, there are too many to list; we are blessed beyond measure.
The Daniels family will receive relative and friends on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Chrissy’s life will begin at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Chrissy, we would love for you to take your family to dinner or set aside time with a loved one, as time with one another is the most precious gift that can be given.
Additionally, an account has been set up to bless those still battling cancer with assistance on their journey. The Trust will take some time to organize, so for now donations can be sent to the following Cash App: https://cash.app/$CDpayitforward
