Cora M. Wharfield

Cora M. Wharfield, 88, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Valley View Assisted Living in Harlingen.
Cora was born on August 24, 1928 in Rock Falls, IL to Elisha and Cora Williamson. She married Miles G. Wharfield on June 22, 1945 and spent her married life in Sterling, IL. After retirement she and Miles moved to Brownsville and then later to La Feria. She attended the Rio Hondo Baptist Church in Rio Hondo for many years.
Cora is survived by her son, Miles E. Wharfield of La Feria; daughter, Pam S. Jones of Rock Falls, IL; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles on January 13, 2008.
As per Cora's wishes the will be cremated and no services will be held.
