Dahlia Eva Diaz, age 62, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and kindness. Born in San Benito on October 29, 1963, Dahlia was a proud native who truly lit up every room she entered. She brought comfort and happiness to those around her with her infectious positive attitude and radiant smile.
Dahlia was a proud graduate of the San Benito High School Class of 1982 participating as a member of the marching band playing the clarinet. She possessed unwavering hometown pride, and decades after graduation, she still loved cheering on her beloved Greyhounds. Dahlia found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved hosting family parties, bringing everyone together with her warm hospitality. She also found comfort in watching her favorite game shows, taking spontaneous car rides to grab nachos and raspas, and spending time playing with her beloved dogs.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Juan “Johnny” Diaz; her children, Ricky, Josh (Cecily), and Gina; her cherished grandchildren, Nova and Moises; her beloved father, Juan Martinez; and her brothers, Johnny (April) and Orlando (Jacqueline) Martinez. She is also survived by many loving cousins, niece, and nephews.
