Dalia L. Robles, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. Born on November 30, 1936, in Kingsville, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Pablo Lopez and Maria de la Luz Vega.
Dalia dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker. She took great joy in preparing delicious meals and baking birthday cakes. Her specialties included homemade tamales and flour tortillas. She cared for her family with unwavering love and patience and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
In addition to her home life, Dalia enjoyed leisure activities such as playing Bingo and Chalupa, as well as traveling to Las Vegas, which brought her much joy. She enjoyed watching Spanish soap operas and had a fondness for scratch-off lottery tickets.
Dalia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andres Robles; her daughters, Dalia M. Castro and Graciela Stephens; her granddaughter, Ruby Savedra Hernandez; her grandson, Francisco Casas III; and her siblings, Santiago, Sergio, and Minerva Lopez, along with her three infant Robles children and her cousin, Carmen Diaz.
She is survived by her children Evelyn Robles, Andrew Ignacio Robles (Andy), Nancy Casas (Francisco Jr.), Cynthia Schoen (Robert), Martha Robles, Sonia Weaver (Gilbert), and Rene Alatorre (Rosalinda). Additionally, Dalia is survived by her grandchildren: Jacob Casas, Jasmine Sanchez, Emma Schoen, Jeffrey Schoen, Steven Rogers, Kristen Rogers, Vanessa Weaver, Debra Weaver, John Emmanuel Flores, John Andrew Flores, Maricela Soto Gonzalez, Miguel Soto Jr., Dalia Martinez, Renee Alatorre, Julie Aguilera, and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Acacia Castillo, numerous nieces and nephews, and her cousin, Irma Gonzalez.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Veranda Rehabilitation and Healthcare and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care of Dalia.
The Robles family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin at 7 o’clock Wednesday evening. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, Dalia will be laid to rest at San Benito Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Andrew Ignacio Robles, Jeffrey Schoen, Jacob Casas, Vanessa Weaver, John Andrew Flores, and Logan Gonzalez.
