Daniel B. "Buffalo" Stevens

July 10, 1954 — September 8, 2021

Daniel B.  “Buffalo” Stevens, of Harlingen, TX, peacefully passed on September 8, 2021 at 67 years of age.  He was born to late Lee R. and Frances M. Stevens on July 10, 1952 in Harlingen.

Danny believed he was “born in the wild horse desert, 100 years too late.” Although he would have fit in perfectly back then, we are all thankful to have been blessed to know Danny during our lifetimes. He was an avid collector and student of antique firearms; he loved South Texas, history, and wildlife.  He spent as much time as he could hunting, fishing, shooting, and enjoying all the nature the Good Lord has blessed us with. He worked for many years with his brothers Jim and Lee.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Lee R. and Frances M. Stevens; and a brother, John Casey Stevens.

Left to treasure his memory are his siblings, James. W. Stevens, Lee Stevens Jr., and Barbara Stevens Prigmore; nephews and nieces, Brian Herron, Joseph Stevens, Jennifer Cockrell, Amy McMurren, James Stevens Jr., Jessica Stevens, Denver Prigmore, Joshua Prigmore; and cousins, Russell and Terri Ostic; great nieces and nephews, Katelynn Herron, Abigail Cockrell, Shawn Ramos, Elizabeth Ramos, Lleyton Stevens, Liam Stevens, Lorelei Prigmore, Adeline Prigmore, Henry Stevens, and Celine Stevens.

The Stevens family is grateful for his good friends, Theodore and Ginger Mcmillin; Michael and Lupe Mitchell; Robert and Carmen Longoria; and Don and Genie Lashbrook.

In honoring Danny’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.

Danny’s family will receive relatives and friends at a memorial gathering on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.

Memorial donations in Danny’s honor may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or the American Legion.
