Egbert Donald “Don” Haynes, Jr., 68, passed August 6, 2022 at his home in Junction, Texas. Don was born November 17, 1953 to the late Egbert Donald Haynes, Sr. and Truella Roberts Haynes in San Benito, Texas.
Don was a retired oilfield consultant, where he worked his way up. He began as a rough neck, became a mud engineer, and achieved his ultimate goal of becoming a drilling consultant.
Don very much enjoyed his retirement. He spent his last years traveling. He enjoyed reloading his own bullets, hunting, target practice, skeet shooting, raising cattle, and roping. One of his favorite things to do was to start and end his days watching the sunrise and sunset in his front and back porch with his fiancée.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Lucy Jane Haynes, and his father, Egbert Donald Haynes, Sr.
Left to treasure Don’s memory is his son, Larry A. (Lee Ann) Hutto of Mission, Texas; granddaughter, Pepper Lucille Hutto; his mother, Truella Haynes of San Benito, Texas; sister, Donna Jean (Bill) Dick of Wheatley, Ontario; brothers, Wayne (Mary) Haynes of Rogers, Arkansas and William Haynes of South Padre Island, Texas; and his fiancée, Grace Salas of Mission, Texas.
