Dorothy Mandeville

Dorothy Darlene Mandeville, 91 passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on January 12, 1934, in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Russell and Marcella Winberg.

Dorothy graduated from Dunning High School and married Albert Mandeville on August 18, 1950. Their marriage endured for an impressive 73 years. Dorothy dedicated her life to creating a loving, warm and nurturing home for her husband, Albert, and their two children, Connie and Edward.

Dorothy was the matriarch of five generations and welcomed the birth of her great-great grandson, Cash Joseph, a few weeks before her passing. She found joy in various activities, such as playing golf and fishing in her early years, but her greatest passion was watching sports on TV. Dorothy loved football the most, particularly the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her brothers, Ron, Larry, and Bob; her sister, Pat; and her son-in-law, Randall Engel. She is survived by her children, Connie Engel (Randall) and Edward Mandeville (Deborah), as well as her grandchildren, Traci Rezac (Scott) and Tory Engel (Cristi). Dorothy’s memory will be cherished by her six great-grandchildren and her great-great grandson.

A celebration of life will be held during the winter when friends and family will be able to attend.
