Eric Michael Hoff, 66, of Palm Valley, Texas, passed away on March 3, 2026. He was born on June 6, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, and was raised in Flossmoor, IL.

Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Hoff; his adored daughters, Lynn Hoff Hawkins and Morgan M Hoff; his sister, The Rev. Daryce Hoff Nolan; his brother Greg, and his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darold Gene Hoff and Joyce Douglass Hoff, his brother Jerry (Bear), his sister-in-law Terra, and his cherished son, Riley Hoff.

Eric faithfully served his community as a member of the La Feria City Commission and as Mayor of Palm Valley. A lifelong entrepreneur, he invested his energy and creativity in many business ventures, including The Lone Star Restaurant and, most recently, The Bottle Shop in La Feria.

A committed Christian, he was confirmed at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Harlingen, Texas. Eric loved playing golf with his friends and cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He will be remembered for his deep love for his community—especially veterans, the police, fire, public servants, and all who protect and serve. Above all, he will be remembered for his love for his friends and his family.

Eric’s life was a blessing to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Harlingen, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
