Eristeo Treviño, age 63, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. Born on October 26, 1962, in Brownsville, Texas, he was the son of Jacinto and Emilia Treviño.

Eristeo married Susana Alfaro on May 12, 1984. He dedicated much of his professional life to agriculture. Following his marriage to Susana, he worked in the oil fields in Perryton, Texas, before transitioning to positions at Equity Grain Gins, a tire shop, and later returning to farming. In 1997, he moved back to the Valley, where he owned and operated Trevino’s Tire Shop for several years, later taking a position at East Rio Hondo, before returning to his agricultural roots.

Known for his strong work ethic, Eristeo consistently prioritized the needs of his loved ones, often placing their well-being ahead of his own. Following the passing of his father, he took on the responsibility of supporting his younger siblings. Eristeo possessed a wealth of knowledge and skills in various fields. He treasured his family, had a passion for agriculture, and enjoyed pastimes such as playing pool, fishing, barbecuing, playing his guitar, spending time with his grandchildren, and dancing with his sweetheart, Susie, gracefully moving her across the dance floor.

Eristeo is preceded in death by his father, Jacinto Treviño; his sister, Cynthia Alfaro; his brother, Ramiro Treviño; and his uncle, Felipe Treviño. He is survived by his mother, Emilia Treviño; his loving wife, Susana Treviño; his children, Victoria Garcia (Jose) and Bradley Treviño (Arlene); and his grandchildren, Adrian Jacinto Lopez, Alexander Eristeo Treviño, Joey Garcia, Rolando Garcia, Sarai Garcia, Oscar Garcia, Jessie Mae Treviño, Noah Bradley Treviño, and Riley Jolene Treviño. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Jacinto Treviño Jr. (Diana), Nora Perales (Manuel), Ilda Treviño (Sotero), Sandra Atkinson, Gina Gonzalez (Richard), and Adrian Treviño (Norma).

Eristeo's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his unwavering love for family and devotion to his work.
