Felipe Sanchez, Jr.

Felipe Sanchez Jr., 29, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2025, in San Benito, Texas. He was born on April 3, 1996, in Harlingen, Texas, to Felipe Medina Sanchez and Antonia DeLeon Sanchez.

Felipe was a proud graduate of San Benito High School. He had a passion for online gaming and was a devoted member of the Catholic faith. In his leisure time, he enjoyed attending Comic-Con-Anime Fiestas and watching movies

He is preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Sanchez; his grandfather, Salvador DeLeon Jr., his father, Felipe Sanchez, and his uncle Gerardo Sanchez.

Left to cherish his memory are his maternal grandmother, Hortencia de Leon; paternal grandparents, Estanislado and Mariana Sanchez his aunts, Esmeralda de Leon, Lenora Tamez, Analuisa de Leon, Christina Sanchez, Ana Sanchez; his uncles, Salvador De Leon III, Ricardo Sanchez, and Alberto Sanchez.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Allstate Hospice for their compassionate care.

The De Leon and Sanchez family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock on Wednesday evening. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, celebrated by Deacon Noe Longoria. Following the service, Felipe will be laid to rest at San Benito Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Filiberto Serna Jr., Rodolfo Cisneros Jr., Eric Cisneros, Abel Palacios, Patrick Pequeño, and Leon Hernandez.
