Francisco Cardona

Francisco Cardona peacefully passed away July 26, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas at sixty years of age. He was born to Francisco Cardona and Natividad Vasquez Acosta on May 7, 1963 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Francisco was a high school graduate and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a martial arts instructor specializing in karate. In addition to karate, he also enjoyed boxing and kickboxing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Cardona. Left to treasure Francisco’s memory are his children, Francisco Cardona, Jr. and Natalie Cardona both of San Antonio, Texas, and Jessica Blahusch of West Germany; mother, Natividad Vasquez, sister, Patricia Vasquez, niece, Andrea Marie Batres; and grand-niece, Rosalina Jade Valdez, all of Los Fresnos, Texas.

An inurnment ceremony with full military honors will take place at a later date at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery as well as a memorial gathering for family and friends.
