Glenn Arthur Vance, Sr., 84, peacefully passed from this life at his home on Monday, March 14, 2022. He was born on February 5, 1939 to the late Arthur Lee and Marie Peel Vance in Harlingen, Texas.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Corporal.
For over 55 years, Glenn was a valued employee of several Rio Grande Valley auto dealerships including Welch Chevrolet, Gautier Ford, Mid-Valley Ford, Boggus Ford, and Rush Truck Center.
In his leisure time, Glenn enjoyed the great outdoors – boating, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of the Texas Air Museum and the National Rifle Association.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur L. and Marie P. Vance; his sisters, Pat Rollins and Virginia Cox; and his brother, Royce Vance.
Left to treasure Glenn’s memory are his loving wife, Dottie, and son, Glenn, Jr.
The Vance family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice, Dr. Tim Bothwell, MD, and their family and friends for their support.
Glenn’s family and friends will gather for a memorial service on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, Chapel B with Pastor Steve Wiest officiating.
