Graciela Garcia Gonzalez, 79, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on October 25, 2025. She was born on December 30, 1945, in San Benito, Texas, to Guillermo Garcia and Olivia Farias Garcia.
Graciela dedicated 27 years of her life to serving the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District before her retirement. She embraced her Catholic faith wholeheartedly and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Her interests included word searches, watching novelas, reading, coloring, crafts, gardening, cooking, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo and Olivia Garcia; her beloved husband, Noe L. Gonzales; and her brother, Guillermo Garcia Jr.
Graciela is survived by her children, Noe Gonzales Jr. (Angela), Aaron Gonzales (Alejandra), and Adriana Gonzales-Briones (Juan), as well as her grandchildren: Noe Alejandro Gonzales, Rosa Isabella "Kit" Gonzales, Aria Nicole Gonzales, Alliana Olivia Briones, Elisandro Manuel Briones, Arisa Elyse Briones, Joaquin Aaron Gonzales, and Camila Alejandra Gonzales. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Gerardo Garcia (Lupita), Jorge Garcia (Michelle), Gustavo Garcia (Yolanda), Ricardo Garcia (Leonor), Elvira Hernandez (Juan Antonio), Corina Macias (Jaime), Concepcion Garcia, and her sister-in-law, Irma Garcia.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Miriam Vargas, RN from U.S. Renal, for her exceptional care over the past two and a half years. Their thanks also extend to Dr. Bhatla, Valley Primary Care Clinic, Priscilla Velasquez, FNP, Juan Briones, PA-C, and Dr. Roa for their compassionate support.
The Gonzalez family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Graciela will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Noe Alejandro Gonzales, Carlos Sanchez Jr., Gabriel Garcia, Rey Gonzalez, Brandon Gonzalez, and Daniel Gonzales, with Elisandro Manuel Briones and Joaquin Aaron Gonzales honored as honorary pallbearers.
