Guadalupe C Villarreal

Guadalupe C. Villarreal, 87, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, in San Benito, Texas. Born on August 29, 1938, in Weslaco, Texas, she was the daughter of Mauricio and Guadalupe Chavez.

Guadalupe found joy in coloring, watching movies, and cherishing time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mauricio and Guadalupe Chavez, and her six siblings: Leonila Cortez, Francisca Hernandez (Antonio), Roberto Chavez, Reymundo Chavez (Bonnie), Rogelio Chavez (Casilda), and Raul Chavez; her sister-in-law, Carol Chavez; and her brother-in-law, Juan Blanco.

Guadalupe is survived by her daughters Nora Luna (Luis), Elida Davila (Aurelio), Raquel C. Villarreal, and Carmela Alomar (Hakeem); sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Bonnie Jean. She is also survived by her siblings Josefina Blanco and Ricardo Chavez (Maria Elena); her brother-in-law Daniel Cortez; and sisters-in-law Hijina Chavez and Alicia Chavez.

The Villarreal family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Awni Alomar, Aurelio Davila, Ethan Davila, Jonah Luna, Edward Gutierrez, Kameron Perez, Adrian Huerta, Juanito Blanco, and Mauricio Blanco.
