Guillermo “Willie” Farias Garcia Jr, 82 years, from his loving hometown San Benito, Tx, fought his battle with B Cell Lymphoma Cancer and has reunited with his eldest late daughter Melisa G. Guerra on August 11, 2025. All known to us as a father, a brother, a grandfather, a great grandfather, and the most loving husband.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his dearest wife of 61 years Irma O. Garcia and his two children: daughter Cecilia (Garcia) Ratcliff, son Javier Garcia. Grandchildren; Christoper Aguilar, Natalie Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Oneida Guerra, Ava Guerra, Cody Ratcliff, and Connor Ratcliff. Great Grandchildren; Emma Aguilar, Aubrey Aguilar, Avery Aguilar, Giovanni Trevino, Jardonni Trevino, Cataleya Trevino, and Isa Silva. Siblings; Graciela Gonzalez, Gerado Garcia, George Garcia, Gustavo Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, Elvera Hernandez, Corina Macias, Concepcion Garcia.
And his late parents; Guillermo Garcia & Olivia Farias.
Guillermo served the City of San Benito Fire Department for 36 years. He was the Fire Chief of San Benito Fire Department for five years and the RGV president of Firefighters Association. “A true hero with the biggest heart for all things in this world including fishing, traveling, trying new eats, and a love for all livestock animals." And we can mention how he was a survivor, a savior and a hero who lived a full life through the body of Christ. Being surrounded by his family and friends was the most important of all, creating memories, seeing his children grow, then his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren, and lastly growing old with the love of his life. Grandpa showed us what love looks like, to live, to forgive, to be humble, to be selfless, and to let go. His memory will live on forever through us in this world. He is resting in everlasting peace and happiness. We will miss him dearly.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gustavo Garcia (brother), Richard Garcia (brother), Christopher Aguilar (grandson), Dominic Garcia (grandson), Cody Ratcliff (grandson), & Connor Ratcliff (grandson).
