Harry W. Leggett III

Harry W. Leggett III was born on July 13, 1943, and passed away on February 27, 2026. He was the eldest and the last surviving child of four born to Harry W. and Marie Leggett. Harry was raised in Dallas, Texas, and proudly graduated with the first class of W.W. Samuel High School. Harry went on to earn a degree in marketing from North Texas State University.

In 1977, Harry relocated to Harlingen, Texas, where he married his beloved wife, Vicki, in 1981. An avid athlete throughout his life, Harry achieved a Seventh-degree black belt in Shorin-ryu, a style of Okinawan Karate. In his later years, he embraced a passion for bicycling, participating in weekly rides covering 50 miles with a group of like-minded people.

Harry had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished the joys of life. His love extended to his faith in Jesus, his home, his backyard, his dogs, and Vicki. Together with Vicki, he led a simple yet fulfilling life in their home for nearly 45 years.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Vicki Leggett.

A celebration of Harry’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.
