Israel Juarez Jr. “El Vaquero” was born on September 6, 1960 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Israel Sr. and Margarita Juarez.
Israel was a man whose life was rooted in the outdoors in his ranch where he lived his entire life with his family. Through these roots grew the foundation of his faith in God and hard work on the 3M ranch with his wife, of 41 years, Melva Cavazos Juarez and their two girls, Anabel and Melissa. On his ranch you could always find Israel on his tractor or negotiating his next business transaction for animals or equipment. He was a man of his word and what he said was what he meant. When he was not busy on the ranch, you could find him wearing his George Strait cowboy hat and starched Wranglers making bets by the sidelines at the horse races, sitting at the pits of rooster fights or taking trips to the casinos with his wife.
His newest and thickest roots of all, were those of his grandchildren, Joshua (12), Alayna (9), Juliet (8), Israel (1) and Jolene (1) who called him Empa. He devoted every breath to loving them, teaching them the responsibility of caring for farm animals and spoiling them with their own four wheelers and golf carts to cruise the ranch.
He would listen to his corridos at bedtime, watch some boxing or Fox News and answer his phone calls to “Chacho” by his loving sister, Suzanna.
Thank you to the Heart Clinic, Randy, Dr. Shereef Hilmy II, Ismael Lopez P.A., Dr. Cheryl Dobson and Dr. Ameer Hassan with Valley Baptist for allowing Israel many additional years to know his grandchildren.
Israel is now reunited with his grandparents, Benito and Margarita Juarez, his parents Israel Juarez Sr. and Margarita Juarez.
He is survived by his wife, Melva Cavazos Juarez and his children, Anabel and Jesse Martínez and Melissa and Jonathan Morales and his five grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Suzanna Juarez, Roberto Juarez, Diana Reihani and Juanita Pérez; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
