Jeffrey Wayne Johnson

Jeffrey Wayne Johnson, age 62, passed away on March 18, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas. Born on September 27, 1963, in Mineral Wells, Texas, he was the son of Jerry and Ruth Johnson.

Jeffrey dedicated 33 years of his career as a superintendent with La Feria Excavation. He had a passion for the outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Johnson. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Bev Johnson; his children, Elizabeth Arsenault (DJ), Suzanne Aranda (Richard), Samantha Stevens (Benjamin), Erika Kinney (Chad), and Patrick Lerud; and his grandchildren, Laila Arsenault, Dane Arsenault, Olivia Aranda, Evelyn Aranda, Emma Stevens, Ellie Stevens, Jackson Stevens, Jeffrey Stevens, Kirsten Kinney, Meagan Kinney, Kailey Kinney, Quinn Lerud, Saoirse Lerud, and Michael Cavazos. He is also survived by his siblings, Dale Johnson (Teri), Charlotte Smith (David), Mike Johnson (Katie), his best friend Kelly Pemelton, and his four-legged friends, Bonnie and Grover.

A celebration of life will be held on April 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 101 E. Port Dr, Port Mansfield, TX 78598.
