Jesus R. Hernandez, III

Jesus “Jesse” Hernandez III entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 21, 2025. A proud graduate of San Benito High School, Jesse dedicated most of his life to operating the Hernandez family business, Rosary Floral & Nursery, where he served the community with care and creativity.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marisela, as well as his parents, Jesus D. Hernandez Jr. and Adriana Hernandez, along with other cherished family members.

Jesse’s memory will forever be treasured by his children, Diana Sanchez (Ricky) and Joshua Hernandez (Mariel); his grandchildren, Ethan, Sophia, and Tessa; his sisters, Yvette Cortez (David) and Annette Sankowski (John); and his many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Although gone too soon, Jesse was larger than life. He found joy in barbecuing, fishing, and music, but above all, in the time he shared with his family and friends. His loved ones take comfort in knowing he is reunited with Mari once again.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 30 at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church located at 351 S. Bowie St. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest next to Mari.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Becerra, Robert Becerra, Juan Garcia, and Alex Rios.
