Jesus R. Perales

Jesus R. Perales, 80, peacefully passed at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.  He was born March 8, 1940 in Port Isabel, Texas to Eulalio and Cruz R. Perales.

Mr. Perales is preceded in death by his daughter, Socorro Perales; his parents, Eulalio and Cruz R. Perales; brothers, Jose Perales, Blas Perales, Francisco and Juan Perales; sisters, Eulalia Garcia, Ventura Atkinson, and Cruz Atkinson.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Guadalupe G. Perales; children, Roger (Martha) Perales, Imelda (David) Zuniga; grandchildren, Gavin Perales, Priscilla Perales, Julio Guerra, Mia Zuniga, Karina Zuniga, Izabella Zuniga, and Victoria Zuniga; sisters, Pomposa Garza, Margarita Landeros, María Cortez; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

The Perales family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.  A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock on Thursday evening.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo, Texas. Entombment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park Chapel of Peace.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Roger Perales, David Zuniga, Julio Guerra, Osiel Canales, Angel Castro and Jim Sojak.  Honorary pallbearer will be Gavin Perales.
