Joe David "Jody" Johnson

Joe David (Jody) Johnson died August 1, 2023, at home in Pipe Creek, Texas following a brief battle with cancer.  Jody was born to Ross Delbert Johnson and Mary Elizbeth (Haggard) Johnson on August 30, 1957, in Harlingen, Texas.

He graduated from Harlingen High School. Jody spent most of his life working in sales and later became a home repair ace.

Jody had a fun personality that everyone enjoyed.  He never met a stranger and never turned down a friend in need.

Jody is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynda Johnson, daughter Jerilyn Kay Johnson, son Trevor Blake Johnson, and sisters: Sara Lacy, Alice Myers, and Janet Magee. Jody held a special place in the hearts of his numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial was held in Pipe Creek, Texas August 12, 2023.
