In Loving Memory of Jose Angel Navarro

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Jose Angel Navarro, who entered eternal rest on June 23, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on February 22, 1950, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Daniel and Modesta Navarro, Jose built a life rooted in hard work, humility, and unconditional love for his family. Known to many as Pepe, he will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone in need.

For 53 wonderful years, Jose shared a beautiful marriage with the love of his life, Maria Irene Navarro. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion, creating a legacy that will live on through their family.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Modesta Navarro, and his brothers, Manuel Navarro, Matias Navarro, Ramiro Navarro, and Hector Navarro.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Maria Irene Navarro; his children, Joe Navarro (Toni), Juan Navarro (Brenda), and Mayra Rangel (Rene); his cherished grandchildren, Brandon Navarro, Angelina Navarro, Matthew Rangel, Ashley Rangel, and Isaiah Rangel, who lovingly knew him as Welo; and his treasured great-grandson, Heath Rangel. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Jose dedicated 36 years to Foremost Paving as a machine operator. He took great pride in providing for his family and earned the respect of those around him through his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication. He also held a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Hazardous Materials Certification.

Outside of work, Jose found joy in woodworking, working in the yard, repairing machines, dancing, and, most of all, spending time with his family. There wasn't much he couldn't fix, and he was always the first to lend a helping hand. He also had a special place in his heart for his grand-pets—El Cuadrado (Buster), Perlina, Fibi, and Gigi—who always brought a smile to his face and were loved as part of the family.

Jose's greatest legacy is the love he gave and the example he set. He taught those around him the value of hard work, kindness, loyalty, and putting family first. Though he will be deeply missed, his love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The Navarro family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Jose will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandon Navarro, Matthew Rangel, Isaiah Rangel, Juan Navarro, Hugo Navarro, and Meme Navarro.
