José Roberto Valenzuela

José Roberto Valenzuela, 71, peacefully passed from this life on October 3, 2021.  He was born May 29, 1950 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

He was a jack-of-all-trades who had the ability to do many things. For many years, José worked in the shrimping industry.  For the last six years, he worked in hotel management as a valued employee of Hampton Inn & Suites in Harlingen.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading, gardening, bicycle riding, watching soccer on TV, and auto mechanics.

José was a Christian and a member of Templo Lirio De Los Valles in San Benito.

He is survived by his wife, Ana Lucía Valenzuela; his children, Rebeca Raquel (Josue) Morales and Lucía Inez (José German) Morales; grandson, Josue Morales, Jr.; and close friends, Hortencia Ramos and Juanita Munoz.

Memorial visitation will take place Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A memorial service will begin Thursday at 2 o’clock with Pastor Mario Medrano officiating.
