Julio Maldonado

Julio Maldonado, 44, passed from this life on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Harlingen, Texas as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born to the late Salvador and Edelmira Resendez Maldonado on September 25, 1976 in Fremont, Ohio.  Julio owned and operated Maldonado Landscaping for the past ten years.

Julio was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Edelmira R. Maldonado, and his niece, Priscilla Perales.

Left to treasure his memory are Julio’s children, Julio Maldonado, Jr. (Kassandra Lopez), Klarissa Asia Maldonado (Adan Sotelo), Kayla Marie Maldonado, Kimberly Stacey Maldonado; grandchildren, Ethan Kia Maldonado, Adan Sotelo, Jr., Kataleya Jewel Maldonado; siblings, Mary (Jose) Claudio, Maria Elena Maldonado, Rene (Irene) Maldonado, Rosie (Joe) Rodriguez, Irene (Juan) Cortez, Leticia (Martin) Vegamacias, Alma Maldonado, Jose Salvador Maldonado; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

The Maldonado family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7 o’clock on Wednesday evening. ( Click on the link below to view the Celebration of Life service via live-stream.) A graveside service and interment will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Julio Maldonado, Jr., Rene Maldonado, Jose S. Maldonado, Raul Martinez, Juan Bocanegra, and Eliazar Cuevas.  Adan Sotelo, Jr., Ethan Kia Maldonado, and Kimberly Stacey Maldonado will serve as honorary pallbearers.
