Kenneth Cyril Scheuer

Kenneth Cyril Scheuer, 71, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his residence in Harlingen, Texas.

Ken was born November 15, 1949, to parents Cyril and Helen (Baumann) Scheuer in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  He was a 1968 graduate of Columbus Catholic High School and went on to graduate with an Associate degree from North Central Technical Institute, Wausau in 1970.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force, honorably serving his country as an aircraft control and warning radar equipment operator and repairman until his discharge in April 1974.  Ken completed his education at the University of Wisconsin – Stout on August 5, 1977.  After teaching for one year, he went on to have a long career in radar maintenance with the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement in 2009.  Ken was a unique individual who was not afraid to live his life outside of the box.  His siblings and extended family hold many sweet and fond memories from the years he was with them.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Scheuer and Raymond Scheuer, and brother-in-law, Gordon Rogers.

Ken is survived by his siblings John (LucyAnn) Scheuer, William (Mary) Scheuer, Lois Rogers, James (Mary Lang) Scheuer, and Jean Scheuer, sisters-in-law, Kathleen Scheuer and Iva Scheuer; and many nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes, Ken was cremated and will be interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield, WI, in a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has requested donations be made in Ken’s name to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

End of life arrangements have been entrusted to Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, San Benito, Texas.
