Leslie A. Lockhart

September 15, 1977 — May 17, 2021

Leslie A. Lockhart, 43, has joined her Heavenly Father and reunited with her mother, Elaine, and her brother, Tal.

Born September 15, 1977 in Amarillo, Leslie moved with her parents to Harlingen in 1979.  She graduated Harlingen South High School in 1996, achieving All-State Choir honors.  She was an avid and skillful bay and offshore angler catching several blue marlin and competing in the South Texas Big Game Fishing Club.  Leslie was selected Miss TIFT in 1998 and later served, for several years, as a member of the TIFT Executive Board.

In 2002, Leslie graduated law school, received her law degree, and practiced law with her father, Tom, for eighteen years.  She gave birth and she, Lee Hollon, and Ms. Kathleen, raised two wonderful boys, Fisher and Hagan, who were everything to Leslie.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, she was honored to serve on the Boys & Girls Club Board. In her spare time, Leslie trained and participated in many triathlons and successfully completed an Iron Man competition. At the time of her death, she was training for another Iron Man competition.

Leslie lived life to the fullest with her motto, “Go big or go home”.  She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in her boys.

There will be a celebration of Leslie’s life this Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Harlingen.  To view the service via livestream, go to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOXc9On7qhs

No masks or social distancing is required at the church for those fully vaccinated.  Memorials can be made to the Harlingen Boys & Girls Club or charity of choice.
