Linda Myrl Stockton

Linda Myrl Stockton, 88, of Harlingen, Texas, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 8th, 2026. She was born on September 26th, 1937, in Brownsboro, Texas to her loving parents Harrison Holcomb and Lillian Land.

Linda graduated from Roxton High School and completed her education at E.T.S.T College in Commerce, Texas. She had a call to educate and inspire young minds, working as a second-grade teacher at Sam Houston Elementary in La Feria Independent School District until she retired.

Linda was characterized by her soft heart and strong spirit, known for her dedication to her faith through her commitment to her church community of First Baptist Church of La Feria, as well as her compassionate and nurturing spirit towards the various animals she rescued.

She found joy in gardening, her beloved cats and dogs, and spending time with her family.

Linda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Stockton, and daughter, Denis Stockton. Linda is survived by her sons, Roman Stockton (Myrna) and Russell Stockton (Susan Woolet); her niece, Lori Grissom; her beloved grandchildren, Samantha, Madison, and Logan Stockton, and Makena Woolet-Stockton; and along with a host of other dear family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 12th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in La Feria, followed by burial at La Feria Cemetery.
