Loreta Belle (Warner) Sadler

Loreta Belle (Warner) Sadler passed away on January 22, 2023 at the age of 95.  She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Sadler; daughter, Sandra Lea Sadler; grandsons, Kevin Cline and George Sadler; parents, William Givens Warner and Laura Lee (Haynes) Warner; sisters, Opal Sain, Vinita Snaples Ashley, Alma Adair; brothers Noble Warner, W.G Warner; and, several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sons, Eddie (Becky) Sadler, David Sadler; daughters, Karren (Vance) Cline, Laura Wilson; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great–great grandchildren.

Loreta lived in Harlingen, Texas her entire life and she was a farmer/rancher for most of that time, on top of being a stay-at-home mother.  She helped raise her many nephews and often took care of her grandchildren, who affectionately asked for “Doctor Grandmother” when ill.

She enjoyed fishing with Daddy and they spent many hours in a boat or on shore casting out their lines.  Mother said one their best buys was a camper for their pickup truck.  They took several multi-state trips exploring the country, often with Sandy in tow.  Those trips, and others seeing family and sights within Texas, were their joy.

Mother’s other enjoyment came from sewing and hand quilting the many quilts she made and shared with family.  She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and sharing them as well.  She would spend her free time gardening, bird watching and playing dominoes, especially Forty-two and Shoot-the-Moon.

Mother will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her, but we all know she is in God’s hands, healed, and with all the loved ones who have gone before her.

A graveside service and interment will take place Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Harlingen-Combes Memorial Cemetery, 20969 Sid Jones Rd., Combes, Texas.
