María Elena Rodriguez

María Elena Rodriguez, 61, a lifelong resident of San Benito, Texas, peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior and Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was born to the late Gumecindo Alfaro and María Garza on April 1, 1961.

María Elena was a proud graduate of San Benito High School, Class of 1979. Her career as a Certified Tax Preparer spanned over 35 years.

She was an active member of Livingstone Family Church. María Elena loved to spend time with her Lord and with her family.

María Elena is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Misael Galvan and Genaro Alfaro.

Left to treasure her memory are her loving husband of forty years, Felipe Rodriguez; her children, Nicole (Warren) Russeau and Philip Rodriguez; and her grandchildren, Aniyah Russeau, Warren Russeau Jr., Ezra Russeau, and Leilani Russeau.

Visitation will take place Monday, July 11, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A service to celebrate María Elena’s life and God’s faithfulness will begin Monday evening at 7 o’clock in Chapel A of the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Tuesday, July 12 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Homegoing Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Chapel A of the funeral home. Following the service, María Elena will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memoria Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Warren Russeau, Philip Rodriguez, Alfonso Galvan, Jacob Gomez, Tommy Rodriguez, Albert Escobedo, Reynaldo Rodriguez, and Roberto Rodriguez.
