Mary Alice O’Keeffe, 85, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2024 in Sugar Land, Texas.
She was born to Dorsey H. Fudge and Mattie Dee Fudge on September 22, 1938 in San Benito, Texas. Mary was employed as a teacher assistant for the La Feria Independent School District.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alton “Al” Garner O’Keeffe; her parents, Dorsey and Mattie Fudge; brothers, Joe Robert Fudge, Elmer Wallace “Bitty” Fudge, Clyde Fudge, Lee Roy Fudge, and James Fudge; and brother-in-law, Wayne O’Keeffe.
Left to treasure Mary’s memory are her children Tracy Anne Gleghorn (Kyle Dwayne) and Perri Lyn D’Armond; her grandchildren, Krista Renee Keiser (Robert), Kyle Daniel Gleghorn, Andrew William D’Armond, Katelyn Elizabeth D’Armond; and her great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Keiser, Aria Jo Keiser, Thea Rae Gleghorn, and Kent Gleghorn.
The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the many caregivers at Heritage Oaks in Conroe, Texas and Barton House in Sugar Land, Texas for the wonderful care they provided Mary over the years. We would like to especially thank Lynne Mahoney with Oasis Hospice for her many kindnesses.
The O’Keeffe family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at La Feria Cemetery with Rev. Coby Shorter III officiating.
Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Kyle Gleghorn, Daniel Gleghorn, Bryan Power, Robbie Keiser, Andrew D’Armond, and Dan D’Armond.
