Mertha “Dubby” Lorraine Barnett

Mertha “Dubby” Lorraine Barnett went to join the Lord January 31, 2024.  Dubby was born March 14, 1934.

Her father owned Dale’s True Blue Shows in 1903. She married Lawrence Barnett Jr on October 5, 1950.  They owned games and booked with several shows in the 50’s and 60’s. In 1971 they started Junior Barnett Shows and traveled to many states.  They retired in 1980.

She is preceded in death by Lawrence Barnett Jr, Jeannie Maple, and Kenneth Maple Jr.

Dubby is survived by Johnny Maple (Kim), Susan Wells (Steve), seven great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

The Barnett family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
