Mervyn C. Guy, 67, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Mervyn was born in Trinidad, W.I. on June 16, 1938 to Todman and Maydale Guy. He had been a resident of Harlingen since 2003 moving here from Canada. He was a Millwright by trade and loved to restore homes. He will be remembered as someone who had a love for all birds as he always had them around him.
He is survived by his wife, June Guy; children; Sharon Jones, Desmond Andrews, Rhonda Lewis, Aldwin Stewart, Dexter Guy, Gary Guy, Gregory Guy; mother, Maydale Guy; Sisters, Aileen Corbie (Val), Cynthia Francis (Earl), Kristeen Small (Walter), Doreen Guy, Lyris Holmes (Ed), Laura Paulk; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Todman Guy.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, December 17, 2006 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 18, 2006 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
