Moises Jaime

Moisés Jaime, 81, peacefully passed from this life on Friday, December 17, 2021. He was born to the late Pedro Jaime and María de Jesús Ponce on December 23, 1939 in Lombardía, Michoacán, México.

For many years, Moisés was a self-employed auto mechanic. His customers knew him to be an honest and knowledgeable mechanic. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Later in life, he went to work for San Benito CISD, from where he retired. In addition to his love of auto mechanics, Moises enjoyed carpentry, landscaping, and completing crossword puzzles. He also loved trying his luck with lottery tickets.

He was preceded in death his loving wife of 59 years, Herminia Jaime; a grandson, Steve Gonzalez; and his parents, Pedro Jaime and María de Jesús Ponce.

Left to cherish Moises’ memory are his children, Susan Vasquez, Margarita (Tomas) Herrera, Pedro (Adriana) Jaime, and Monica (Homero) Ramos; grandchildren, Tania S. Wilson, Ivan G. Gonzalez, Megan M. Medrano, Tobias Herrera, Marisol M. Vasquez, Gabriel M. Herrera, Michele M. Gonzalez, Oscar N. Ramos, Nicolas J. Ramos, Sandra Ramos, Brittany Ramos, Jonathan Jaime, Ashley Jaime, Justin Jaime, Karen Phillips, Lariza Powell, Ashley Garay, Moisés Jaime; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Lopez, Alexandria Wilson, Jayden Herrera, Liam Herrera, Amerie Herrera, Kaylah Vasquez, Kaycie Vasquez, Melanie Cardenas, Haven Vasquez, Mateo Herrera, Lucy Herrera, Joshua Huichapa, Alexus Lopez, Dominic Lopez, Jordon Jaime, Jasmine Jaime, Liam Phillips, Noah Garay, Ryan Garay, Kailey Tapia, Gavin Tapia, Kataleya Mata, Luke Martinez, Benjamin Martinez, Nehemia Martinez, Mya Gonzalez, and Niko Gonzalez-Lopez. He is also survived by his siblings, Blanca Tamez, Edith Lofgren, Georgina Padilla, Veronica Clarke, and Vito Ponce.

The Jaime family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. (Click the link below to view the Rosary via live-stream.) A graveside service will take place on Friday, December 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tobias Herrera, Gabriel Moises Herrera, Justin Jaime, Oscar Ramos, Nicolas Ramos, and Moises Jaime.  Jayden Herrera, Liam Herrera, and Mateo Gabriel Herrera will serve as honorary pallbearers.
