Nelda C. Jaramillo

Nelda Cadengo Jaramillo, of Los Fresnos, peacefully passed from this life on July 25, 2021 at her home.  She was born to the late José María and Juanita Cadengo on April 15, 1955 in Los Fresnos.

Nelda retired from the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District after 30 years of dedicated service.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking.  Most especially, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, José María and Juanita Cadengo; sister, María Martha Cadengo; brothers, Alberto Cadengo, Alejandro Cadengo, Sr., and Julián Cadengo, Sr.

Left to treasure her memory is her husband, Isabel Jaramillo, Sr.; children, Rodolfo “Rudy” (Jennifer) Cadengo, Hortencia (Roscoe) Cadengo, and Omar (Nia) Cruz; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marcos (Margarita) Cadengo, Elionzo (Alicia) Cadengo, and Arnoldo Cadengo.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A prayer service will begin Monday evening at 7 o’clock.
