Nicolas Hernandez Arreaga

Nicolás Hernández Arreaga peacefully passed from this life on February 16, 2021 at 84 years of age.  He was born in Anahuac, Nuevo León, México on December 18, 1936 to the late Pedro Hernández and Higinia Arreaga de Hernández.

He was a retired agricultural worker.  In his leisure time, Nicolás enjoyed fishing and dancing.  His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife, Francisca L. Hernández; daughters, Graciela Hernández, Elida Hernández, María Guadalupe Hernández, María Luisa Hernández, Gina Hernández, Leticia Hernández, Jeanette Hernández, Liliana Hernández; sons, Pedro Hernández and Juan Carlos Hernández; 31 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Hilaria Hernández.

Nicolás was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Higinia A. Hernández; sisters, Josefina Hernández and Antonia Hernández; and brother, José Luis Hernández.

Visitation will take place on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A prayer service will begin at 7 o’clock on Monday evening. A graveside service and interment will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, TX.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Antonio Davila, Jr., Adrian Davila, Angel Ulloa, Leonardo Castillo, Sr., Leonardo Castillo, Jr., Frankie Santiago, Pedro Hernández, Noe Loa, and Juan Armando Loa, Jr.
