Pedro Hernandez

Pedro Hernandez, 53, peacefully passed from this life April 21, 2022 with his family by his bedside. He was born to María Palmira Hernandez and the late Adán Carlos Hernandez on March 1, 1969 in San Benito, Texas.

Pedro was a proud graduate of San Benito High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and “the ranch life.” He was an active member of his community, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He always made sure his mother was fed and cared for even after he took ill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Adán C. Hernandez, and his brother, Pablo Hernandez.

Left to treasure Pedro’s memory are his children, Justin (Stephanie) Hernandez, Israel Hernandez, Amanda (Adrian) Garcia, and Pedro Hernandez, Jr.; grandchildren, Abygale Rose Garcia and Alexander Jeremiah Garcia; mother, María P. Hernandez; brothers, Ernesto (Lorena) Hernandez, Adán (Rosa) Hernandez, Armando Hernandez, Reynaldo (Roni) Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, and Gregorio (Ana) Hernandez; and sisters, Ester (Blaz) Martinez, Palmira (Xavier) Guzmán, María (Ernesto) Zapata, and Marta (Orlando) Cantú.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Marta Hernandez for her loving care of Pedro during his illness.

The Hernandez family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, Chapel A. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (Click the link below to view a livestream of the Rosary.)

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 24380 W. US Highway 281/Military Hwy. Funeral services for Pedro will conclude at the church.
