Phyllis Carey

Phyllis Carey, age 88, passed away peacefully in Harlingen, Texas on January 19, 2024. Born Phyllis Ann Crane in Cranetown, Kentucky on March 15, 1935.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John B. Carey Jr.; her sons, Michael Frakes, Dennis Frakes; her stepson, John B. Carey III; her stepdaughter, Leslie Carey; and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren across the country which she so enjoyed.

Phyllis enjoyed gardening and was an avid bowler in her youth along with even being a Point Guard on an adult women’s Basketball league called the “Bloomer Girls”

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Shriners Children's Hospital in her name.
