Ralph R. Esparza

Ralph R. Esparza 85, was called home by Jesus on November 4, 2021 in Temple, Texas.  He was born to the late Willie and Maria Luisa Esparza on March 8, 1936 in San Benito, Texas.

Ralph was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a great patriot. His talents and entrepreneurial spirit led him to start many businesses as a Hair Stylist, Restaurateur, Real Estate Broker and General Contractor.  In his leisure time, Ralph enjoyed reading, pumping iron, option trading, politics, and teaching others about the Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Maria Luisa Esparza; his daughter, Robin Athanas; his brothers, Beto, Luis, Romeo, Nicho, Elfego, Oberlin, Raul, and Carlos; and his sisters, Celeste, Guillermina, Maria Luisa, & Anita.

Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Esparza; their children & spouse, Ralph & Orkhon Esparza Jr.,  R.C. & Jane Alexandra Esparza, Rod & Chrisina Esparza, Ronnie Esparza, and Rhonda & John Ferrone, Tom Athanas; and their grandchildren, Alex, Traci, and Dylan Athanas; Tyler Esparza-Powell; Alexandra and Christian Ferrone; Christopher and Layla Esparza; and his faithful companions Kika, Angus, and Hamish.

The Esparza family will receive relatives and friends at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, 1400 W. Business 77, San Benito Texas 78586.
