Raymond Gonzalez passed away on June 9, 2021, at the age of 64, in his hometown of San Benito, Texas.
He met the love of his life, Kimberley, in high school. It was love at first sight and it was not long before they were married. Together they had two children, Dana and Douglas. They traveled many miles together over the course of his 40+ year Ironworking and Heavy Rigging career. They say he was the best in the business. Along the way, Raymond mentored and touched more lives than he probably knew. He had a natural knack for rigging and was always willing to share his knowledge. He went on to enjoy farming in his retirement.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Kimberley; their two children and their spouses, Dana (Charles) Raney, Douglas (Angel) Gonzalez,; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his mother, Emilia Gonzalez; his brothers, Frank (Cyndi) Gonzalez, George Gonzalez (John Maline), Tony Gonzalez; and his sisters, Gloria (Benito) Juarez and Christy (Bala) Mohanarangan
He was preceded in death by his father, Reymundo Gonzalez and his mother-in-law, Barbara Gayle Hall.
Raymond’s life and legacy will be honored at a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Living Way Church in Harlingen, Texas, where he and his wife were members. We would like to thank them for their services.
