Robert E. Burley, Jr.

Robert Eugene Burley, Jr., of San Benito, Texas, passed away June 27, 2023, after a long illness.

“Rob” was born February 21, 1951, in San Benito to Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Burley, Sr.  Rob graduated San Benito High School and attended Texas A&I University.  He later resided in Harlingen, Texas while he worked as a mechanic at the La Palma power plant for Central Power and Light, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching sports, playing pool, listening to music and spending time at South Padre Island.

He is survived by his former wife Becky Epperson and their children  Heather  Conley (Matt), Brady Burley (Nadia), sister Barbara Jean Schweers (Gordon) and five grandsons, nephew and niece.

He is predeceased by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert E. Burley, Sr., of San Benito, Texas

The family extends thanks to the staff at Treasure Hills Healthcare and Valley Baptist Medical Center for their care for him throughout his illness.

A private service will be attended by family members only.
