Robert E Hallett

Robert (Bob) E. Hallett, 89, of Harlingen, Texas, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Dad was born in Huntington, Massachusetts Oct 12, 1929 to Harold and Ellen (Bartlett) Hallett.  He graduated from Northampton Vocational School in 1946, specializing in carpentry and started Hallett Construction Co. in 1948.  After 30 successful years building homes, public buildings and churches throughout Massachusetts, Dad retired to Harlingen, Texas.  He loved the mild Valley Winters, where he never had to worry about 2 AM calls from the city to send his trucks out to plow snow!

He will be greatly missed by his children, Heidi of Northampton, MA, Rob of Hadley, MA, and Wendy of Round Rock TX and grandsons John, Mark and Jacob Hallett of Harlingen, and Brandon and Brian Aguirre of Round Rock.  He is also survived by his sister Anna Mathers of Florence, MA, and his longtime companion Rosalinda Ledesma of Harlingen.

He was preceded in death by his son John Marcial Hallett and his brothers Harold and Clint.

Interment will follow at a later date at Norwich Hill Cemetery in Huntington, MA.
