Rodrigo Sanchez, Sr.

Rodrigo Diaz Sanchez our beloved father passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Rayon, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on March 13, 1925, to Aniceto Sanchez and Lidia Diaz.

Rodrigo was married to his loving wife, Adela Galvan for over 70 years.

He was very respected and loved by all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

We were blessed to have all his family together to celebrate a milestone, his 100th birthday on March 13, 2025. To all our family he was "Apa".

We are very grateful & thankful that God allowed us to have our Father for so many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aniceto Sanchez & Lidia Diaz Sanchez, brothers: Javier, Marcial, Marcelino, Serafin, Socorro, Flaviano and sister Florentina Sanchez de Hernandez.

Left to cherish & treasure his memory & life are his children: Lucinda S. Flores (Jose), Lidia S. Ponce (Pedro), Rodrigo G. Sanchez Jr, Maria (Mary) S. Atkinson (Jesus), Margarita S. Grendel (Steven) & Sylvia G. Sanchez. His sister: Maria Sanchez de Mendez, his brother: Julian Diaz Sanchez. Grandchildren: Amy A. Lewis, Fabian S. Flores, Claudia S. Ponce, Jessica S. Atkinson, Christina S. Galan, Adrian S. Ponce, Jesse Aaron S. Atkinson, Tyler Steven Grendel, Austin Robert Grendel. Great-Grandchildren: Nathaniel Micah A. Lewis, Allison Amee A. Lewis, Kathryn Amee A. Lewis, Madelyn Amee A. Lewis, and Zephaniah Atkinson Grigar.

Visitation will be Friday, August 1st 2025, from 3:00 to 9:00 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home. Chapel Service, Saturday August 2 at 10:00 followed by interment at Las Yescas Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Fabian Flores, Claudia Ponce, Adrian Ponce, Jesse Aaron Atkinson, Tyler Steven Grendel, Austin Robert Grendel and Steven Grendel.
