Sammy Marett, age 86, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Port Isabel, TX. He was born in Houston, Texas to Samuel and Margaret Marett on August 30, 1935.

Sammy served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard in the 1950s and spent over 40 years as a craftsman bookbinder with Gulf Printing Company in Houston, TX. Sammy was well known for his creative storytelling; recounting the fascinating details of his childhood and his military adventures. Sammy enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and traveling around the country. His retirement years were spent relaxing on the coast in Port Isabel with his wife, Regina and dog, Whiskey.

Besides his wife, Regina, Sammy is survived by his sons, Stanley, Shane and his wife, Michelle, Jimmy and his wife, Liz, Ronny, Gary and his wife Evelyn, and Mike and his wife, Teresa, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with full military honors and interment will take place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, St, Houston, TX 77023.
